Ingredients
- 14 oz sheet puff pastry defrosted
- 10 oz almond paste
- 1 orange zested
- 1 egg overwhelmed
- 3 tbsp apricot jam
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp sliced almonds
- 3 tbsp flour
Instructions
- Preheat the kitchen appliance 425 F and canopy an oblong baking sheet with a parchment paper.
- On a gently floured surface, roll out the puff pastry into an outsized parallelogram, two inches shorter than the length of your baking sheet.
- Cut the pastry in [*fr1] lengthwise.
- In a medium bowl, mix the almond paste with the orange rind and knead till blended*. (See the notes relating to the almond paste)
- Divide almond paste into two even items and roll every peace into a log around one in. shorter than the length of puff pastry.
- Place one almond go surfing one 1/2 puff pastry. Brush the perimeters of the pastry with a overwhelmed egg.
- Fold two shorter ends of the pastry to hide the almond log. Fold two longer ends over the almond log and flip the log so the seam was at all-time low.
- Repeat with the two second sheet of puff pastry.
- Transfer the logs onto a ready baking sheet, brush with the overwhelmed egg and bake for regarding twenty five minutes till slightly brown on prime.
